Mexican exhibition – Saturday specials

On Saturdays we offer a “special” programme with unique workshops to discover different aspects of Mexico and its culture with native artists, or people with a special connection to the country. The workshops are exclusively for children from 5 to 12 years old, which also gives parents a little time to themselves.  Children under the age of 5 are also welcome, however must be accompanied by an adult. These exceptional experiences highlight certain traditions and folklore of Mexico.  The price includes all the necessary materials for the workshops .

16/03 From 2 to 5pm – Art workshop – The children will discover the jungle animals and practice an interesting painting/collage/pastel technique to represent a large animal face. 25€ p/p

23/03 – From 2 to 5pm – Mosaic workshop. A very popular form of art in Mexico, creative mosaic forms are found in all places. After an introduction to this art form and several examples, the children will create their own designs and have a fun, sticky and manual afternoon! 25€ p/p

30/03 From 2 to 5pm – Cooking workshop to make fruit cocktails and Mexican burritos. The children will make a bar of ingredients to choose from to put into their tortillas, and also combine their favorite fruit for an accompanying healthy cocktail. Bring a container to take some goodies home. 25€ p/p

06/04 – From 2 to 5pm – Discover Sweden! The Dala horse is a symbol of Swedish culture and after learning about its origins, in this creative workshop we will do cross-stitch embroidery on a towel to take home. 25€ p/p

 

Swedish Easter Camp! First week from 8 to 12th April and second week from 15th to 17th. Combining language learning in the morning with creative and cooking activities in the afternoon and outdoor walks in the nearby forest!

• Decorating branches with coloured feathers
• Painting Easter eggs
• Easter Egg hunt with clues and riddles
• Dress up as Easter witches
• Discover the nature and animals of the Swedish forest
• Baking Swedish delights

27/04 – From 2 to 5pm Recycled Art workshop! Turning junk into a form of artistic expression. Sweden is one of the leading countries in recycling and a source of inspiration in the field of education. Children can bring along old bits and pieces, or search our junk box for a complete makeover. 25€ p/p
